Life After Racing
For Group Equine, retirement from racing heralds the inception of a new epoch. We are dedicated to the retraining of our equine athletes for diverse roles, whether in competitive dressage, therapeutic assistance, or as cherished companions.
The journey of our horses extends far beyond the racetrack. In the Retraining and After Racing Careers phase, we focus on preparing our retired racehorses for new roles and challenges. This retraining process is tailored to each horse’s abilities and temperament, ensuring a smooth transition to activities such as dressage, show jumping, or therapeutic work. Our commitment to their well-being and future is unwavering, and we take pride in finding them suitable roles where they can continue to thrive. This stage is a celebration of their versatility and adaptability, showcasing the remarkable range of skills these magnificent animals possess.
Below are some stories and images of the multifarious and rewarding paths our horses embark upon following their racing tenure.
Little Finn
Hi I’m Chloe, I’ve had Little Finn since March 2024 and he’s been the most amazing addition to our family! He’s come so far in the short time I’ve had him after a time in racing where he switched off and decided he didn’t want to do it 🤣 and looking forward to our future competing in ridden and in hand shows!
Early Bright
Hello I’m Lauren and I am lucky enough to have Early Bright (name at home, Ernie)
False ID
I'm Emma. I have had False ID for almost 2 years, we took it easy after his tough racing career, hacking, light schooling. Now we ready to step it up a gear and start our showing career at our 2nd show tomorrow (12th August 2024), sporting his new brow band in the Group Equine colours 😊
False ID
I love my happy life here at Emma's

Little Finn & False ID
Looking magnificent and clearly enjoying life with loving owner Lauren.
Little Finn & False ID have spent many years together in their respective racing yards and now enjoy each others company in North Yorkshire, at the same stables, with their new owners, Emma and Chloe who are pictured here on a hack!

Just his 2nd show for False ID and coming home with a 3rd 😊
